Riot ID lookup, sync timing and Arena data coverage

What happens during lookup, why a history can be incomplete and how to tell when your Arena record is up to date.

Lookup starts with a Riot ID and region

Enter the visible GameName#TAG Riot ID and choose the account region. The region is part of the lookup because Riot data is organized across platform and regional services.

Arena Legacy does not ask for a Riot password. The lookup is limited to finding the public account identity and the completed Arena match data that can be requested for it.

Sync is incremental

The first lookup can import the completed Arena matches currently available to the tracker. Later refreshes request newer games and avoid re-importing matches that are already stored.

A newly finished game may not appear immediately if Riot has not exposed it yet or if the request is waiting behind a rate limit. Refresh again later instead of assuming the match was lost.

Coverage is part of the record

Arena Legacy reports what it can verify from the source payload. Very old games, missing participant details or newly released content can leave a name, icon or match unavailable until the data source catches up.

That limitation is deliberate: the tracker prefers an explicit gap over a guessed champion, augment or item. Use the displayed match count and last-sync context to understand how complete your current history is.

Takeaway
A reliable Arena record is built by choosing the correct region, refreshing over time and treating missing source data as a visible limitation.
