How to review your Arena augments and item picks after a game

Arena games move quickly. Between augment choices, item rounds and fights, there is little time to reflect on why a run succeeded or fell apart. Once the game is over, the full picture is available: the final placement, every augment you took and the items you finished with.

Reviewing that picture after the game is where improvement comes from. It lets you compare decisions calmly, with the outcome already known, instead of guessing in the middle of a round.

When a finished Arena match is in your history, open its detail page rather than relying on memory. The match record groups the lobby by team and placement and shows each player's champion, augments and final items in one view.

It is especially helpful after an unusual game: a surprising augment combination, a champion you do not often play, or a run that felt much stronger or weaker than expected. Compare your team's choices with the team that finished first; the differences are often obvious once they sit side by side.

Arena augments come in Silver, Gold and Prismatic rarities, and since the patch 26.9 overhaul some augments can also be upgraded over the course of a game. When you review a match, notice which rarity offers you took and whether the augments supported each other or pulled the build in different directions.

Across many games, the Augments you pick panel on your dashboard shows the augments you choose most often and your average placement in the games where you took them. If you keep taking an augment that rarely leads to a top-half placement, that is a pattern worth questioning.

The Items you finish with panel summarises the final items that appear most in your stored games. Because final inventory slots do not record the order in which items were bought, Arena Legacy treats a finished build as a set of items rather than a timeline.

That is still very useful. Comparing the final sets from your first-place games with those from early exits on the same champion often reveals the difference: a missing defensive item, a second damage item where utility was needed, or boots that did not suit the champion.

Pick one change to try next time rather than rewriting your whole approach. For example, prioritise a prismatic item you saw on winning teams, or avoid an augment that has not worked for you across several games.

Then check the champion's Arena Companion profile to see what other players commonly choose. Your own history tells you what works for you; the community view helps you find options you have not tried yet.

Arena Legacy intentionally stays post-game. It does not read a live match, recommend an augment while you are choosing, scout opponents or place an overlay over League of Legends.
